About Me

Giving up for the second time this year, as i have honestly had enough of feeling lethargic, tired, bored while sober, and dependant on anything. My girlfriend works as a travel agent, and i 'came out of retuirement' for two months in order to accompany her to amsterdam (on a free trip), which then led me back to my old ways. Enough is enough - i have wasted the last 3 years. Also, looking at photos of me pre-addiction, i don't recognise the person i was before i used to smoke any more.

Best piece of advice i can give for the first few days is buy a punch bag (the fat melts off of you) and drink a few coffees before you work out. it helps get over the sleeping problems even if you work out for less than half an hour (yes, less!), and after about 10 days you are not even considering that 'world' any more. After two weeks, you will find yourself being more mobile and energetic and more up for doing anything with your friends.

Anyway, good luck to all who want to quit, and remember you have to have a valid reason to do it, otherwise your brain has the canny way of working around the meta-issues you use as excuses. Keep repeating your reason, and you will come through.
