After smoking since 1996 I finally decided to give this up! I have to say it's been much easier than I could of ever expected! Decided to also list all of the benefits as I am never going back to this! 1. Finances, spending about £200 on this stuff... what a saving! 2. Less Stress, no longer worrying about where next smoke is coming from! 3. Clear, Sharp focuesed mind!, My brain is so awake now, my short term memory seems to be improving all of the time! 4. Confidence, My social confidence is starting to return! - before was often hiding away and feeling paranoid! 5. Less Worry, No longer need to worry about being stopped by the Police! 6. I feel I have control of my life again!! - I hated being ruled by hash before! 7. Dreams, always wondered why I stopped dreaming and now I know why! 8. Sleeping, my sleep pattern has settled and I feel better in the mornings! 9. Work, I am working harder and doing more, my employers will benefit :-) 10. More Energy and "Get up and go!" Ok, shortlist but so glad I gave this up, certainly as lately we've had a major hash drought just after I gave up!, perfect timing. Did have a big lump sitting right infront of me and I was not tempted at all, I chucked it away in the end lol! :-) This site was an inspiration for me one week ago I read lots of positives and so glad I decided to give up, I have even been in situation to smoke and happily said No, I cannot believe how easy it's been to knock this bad habbit on the head. I still smoke Tobacco but do plan to give this up eventually, however it's not made me smoke more at all. Witnessed some very stressed friends who cannot get any right now... and think thank goodness I gave up, I am so relaxed and not bothered... it's actually more of a "buzz" not smoking hash anymore. Highly recommened you give up.... the benfists are so good! - first few days are hard but after that you start feeling so clean and good :-) I'll post again soon with progress, however more chance pigs will fly before I take up smoking this rubbish again :-) Good luck all!

Thanks for the inspirational post aztec..... You say this place was part of the motivation you found to quit , I'm sure your post will serve exactly the same purpose to others. Keep it up and do let us know how it goes. All the best . CAT

Well done Aztec. You might want to try the patches for the tobacco. I seriously chain smoked roll ups on previous quit attempts, and though I was clear headed, I felt worse physically than I did when I was smoking weed. Using the patches this time.. on day 6 ish or so at the mo, and so far feeling great.. Keep it up mate!
