Benefits of quitting cannabis

My name is Sally, and I am a researcher for the National CannabisPrevention and Information Centre in Australia. I just wanted to write a note to let you know the Centre has recently developed a web-based treatment forcannabis use that is available world-wide. We are currently conducting a trialof the treatment, comparing it against online educational information. I've already heard back from them this morning....woot woot hoping it really helps beat this...

Joined the program today and completed the first assessment. Will start stage 1 tomorrow.

muahhhh all i got was education...lol oh well

Can anyone enlighten me as to what went on with this course/research ?

im dubious about this, is it not just another support site, not that thats a bad thing cos this one is certainly helping me, would be good to meet some of u in person to chat (like AA i suppose)

I don't know Wayne - Did you email her for the information ? If you did , perhaps you could paste it here, or drop me a mail with it so I can check out if it's worth leaving 'her' contact details up or not .. As she hasn't actually posted a link but rather a contact address, I didn't persue , but I left it open thinking it might help others, or at least help 'her' with her research .  If it's all for a good cause , then I'm willing to share my traffic :-)

If it's being sent to some 'cannabis busting ' program , that charges a fee to join and the likes, then I certainly am not .

Yeah I have dreamed about expanding in the future, and organising real time meets , (like the AA but without the 12 step program , or high power theme , something that kept me away from the N/A , though Kudos to them , they do a great job )

Where are you located ?  North UK here.

I think with only 70 members, and a good handful not being from the UK we don't really have the numbers to start such things , but watch this space.

And sure , if you live close we can meet for coffee and a cry . lol

I did the course, well most of it. It is ok, didnt stop me smoking to be honest but maybe i didnt put enough effort in... x

what did the course consist of ?   Anything enlightening ?
