I hope everyone is doing alright.  I've only been able to check from my i phone

and it won't let me post.  My internet is still down, so I'm at my sons house - but

I wanted everyone to know I'm doing alright - going to make it this time.  I hope you are all at least in the frame of mind to be working on this.  It's a process and we all have o come to it in our own time and in our own way.  KEEP QUITTING!

Love

Hi Grandma,

Good to hear that things are going well for you.  I keep checking in but it does seem as though things have gone quiet in here again!

If anyone is reading this - why not post!?!?

BTW  - I'm heading over to your area come June, when I say 'your area' I really mean (bearing in mind the size of the US) within a thousand miles or so I guess!!

My sister has moved to Seattle for a year and I'm going to visit her, I don't know how close that is to you.

James, it is always good to 'hear your voice' - and Seattle is just a stones throw from me - a  short hop on a plane or a drive of a few hours.  I actually just drove from here to a place an hour the other side of Seattle, just to pick up a goat - I would LOVE to come up and meet you - or bring you down here to visit, if you're up for it.  Keep me informed!

Things have been quiet here -but there are people browsing through, I'm sure of it. I'm doing good with my quit - suffering some despression that made me think about you a lot.   Some of the others are feeling the same.   I've been contemplating the source of it a lot.  Part of it comes, I'm sure, from just adjusting to LIFE without anesthesia.  Some of it is probably the reason many of us self medicated in the first place and needs to be dealt with another way.

Your success has been a huge inspiration to me.   Just being able to get on a plane when I need to go and visit family has been a HUGE benefit.  Travelling used to fill me with panic and dread.

Thanks for being there these last few months - and for keeping the forum going.

You're a real hero.

Hugs,

Grandma

Ben, Weedless, James - I only have a few minutes, so I thought I'd post here, though I've read your recent posts.  Weedless, Ben - hang in there!!!  You CAN do this - I know you can.

I'm struggling with depression seems to nearly throw me to the ground.   Also, my father is dying.  He is 87 and fell a week ago - broke his hip.  Double pneumonia has set in and they are moving him to hospice care.   So I need to go back to Utah for a while.  In the meantime, one of our Highland Cows had a calf early this morning - cute little bull - and the other two should calve any day now - so I have my hands full - and hubby is away on business.

Keep quitting.  I'm with you and will keep checking in - though briefly for the next few days.

Love vibes coming your way... hope you are ok. I feel for you, must be very stressful. I just hope and pray that your father's passing is swift, painless and peaceful. At least he has had a 'fair innings' as they say here - a good, long life. I hope the stress of it does not leave you pining for a smoke. It would be understandable but it wont help anybody (especially you!) so just remember that. Thank you for posting DESPITE having far bigger fish to fry - you are a truly wonderful person, and dont you ever forget it.

Good news about the baby coos!!! The old circle of life eh... well that is what it is all about I suppose, birth and death. I hope you can take some comfort from them although I expect they are hard work! At least they will take your mind off your problems, to an extent at least.

Take care Grandma. Thoughts most definitely with you.

Love and hugs

Weedless xx

Thanks Weedless - just taking a minute to make sure everyone here is okay.  The birth definately puts things in perspective - though I suspect the worst of this experience

is still ahead of me.

You are dear heart - thank you for all your love and support - you are never far from my thoughts.

Love,

Grandma
