Well it is 1822 here and im struggling like $%£*. Every time I quit i becomes frit thinking about the darkest hours of night and the early hours of the morning. Yet when it comes to quitting it is this time of the evening that gets me.  Is it the same for you? What time do your relapses occuur?

For me it's usually post 9pm , I think this is because when I quit , I rid my house of all smoking stuff , and after nine all our local dealers are closed, \and i pretty much know the decision at least til the morning is made for me , so i find myself getting very agitated. First thing in the morning is always the best time for me while im trying to quit, usually because im waking up proud of myself for not having smoked the day before.

Lacey - glad you are still checking in.   I've learned a lot from you.   Evenings are hardest - and waking up in the middle of night.  But it's getting better each day.

I haven't tried quitting as yet, but I know that the evenings will be the worst.  I have become so used to crashing in front of the TV and smoking constantly from at least 7pm to bedtime that I really don't know what I'm going to do with this time.

I'm guessing I'll be feeling too agitated and restless to just sit and watch TV as I would usually do, so I'll have to find other things to occupy myself with.

Don't quit quitting.

The worst time for me is knowing that it could be possibly available. Then the beast is suddenly unleashed.

Be proud of makin the decision. It takes balls to admit you are a slave to the weed master. It took me years to open my eyes to it. It has robbed me of everything but at times I still felt I could excuse it. Denial aint just a river in Egypt.

it's now 5.41 and i've started to feel bad . this is only my day one, so I desperately hope i start feeling at least a little tiny bit better soon, to give me some encouragement to carry on , everyone else seems to be doing so much better .

so is today your first day completely weed free? Can I ask , is this easier than if you hadn't cut down ?

I have gone straight  for cold turkey , starting with today ! and im not feeling fighting fit , that's for sure !

3 dogs to walk , 5 cats to feed, and then a room full of small furrier to get sorted out , before I crawl back to my pc , and probably cry .

aw bless ya! I must admit the cut down helped. But youhave nearly made it a day and will be more aware of the withdrawel from your system. But Im chuffed to bits to have done from midnight last night to now so you should be too. Your body will be grateful. Your mind probly not so much. But the brain can be a big ol bitch. Be Aware that it will make this as difficult as poss...If you make it to 2moro you should feel it in the morning. even if you dont make it to 2moro you will feel the benefit of the reduction. But if you relapse you only have to do today again. And its worse when you know whats coming!

The worse time for me is anytime during day one, I just don't seem to b e able to get by it . when ive got over the first bits i know i can do it , but its so hard.

Night times are the worse

and im still trying to muster the energy to stick at this but at the same time weed drags it away.   good luck everyone , nice to see people doing better than me , encouragement or disheartening, im not sure, but either way it's good for me .

rouse, don't punish yourself , it's done , just use it as a reminder to never let it happen again , it's so self destructive, and we are all in the same boat. If you have a check ni the journals you will see I was clean for 3 months like yourself, and ended up daily toking again ! all day every day . I don't know how it happened, but it always seems to  . I have accepted this time that I will never allow myself even a one off smoke , if I have a glass of wine at a party , and a joints going round, I realise I have to say no . It's over for me , my relationship with cannabis is dead.!

Rouse good luck getting through day one ! You can do this, you've done it before , you can do it again and you will do it again . Just think of all those benefits waiting for you after you get past the first week or so .

Remember what james says on this forum , you're not denying yourself a pleasure, you're denying yourself a poison that's wrecking your life, celebrate the fact .

I've found James' words to have helped me incredibly because they ring so true .

All the best !
