It's strange it's taken me so long to fully acknowledge the extent of my problem, it's been almost ten years.  But reading the accounts of others I find I can relate so well to all the harmful conseqeunces they describe, conseqeunces that I have somehow overlooked and ignored for so many years.

So I both confess and introduce myself - My name is James, and I am a drug addict.  I hope to remedy this situation in the near future and I am finding it useful to read about other people's experiences.  Hopefully I will continue posting with good news.

Good luck to anyone who is trying to quit.

Hello James, and welcome. I can offer you very little except my understanding, support and a great deal of sympathy and empathy. Unfortunately I have no qualifications or training in this area, but I do have nearly 20 years experience of addiction to cannabis (plus intermittent experience with virtually every mind-altering substance known to mankind!)

I would like to hear your personal reasons for wanting to quit cannabis because, while you acknowledge many similarities with the accounts of others, everybody is slightly different.

Respect my friend.

And remember, luck has nothing to do with it! :)

Thank you for your welcome.  I will have to start a quit journal.
