Im curious Why no posts anywhere but the journals?? Im hoping the Journal will 'shame me' in the weaker moments. Is that why others are using them?.

Do they help,  is it a well needed distraction. Im hoping its more than just wanting to concrete my good intentions....

illma - WELCOME we're all pretty new here and this just seems to be where  people post.   You sound exactly like the rest of us.  Throwing everything away is a really good idea - public dumpster would be even better!   taking a couple of days to get ready is a good idea, I think.   We all seem to go through the cycle of 'determination - failure - guilt'.   Fortunately, there are few people out there that are doing really well.  I've been here 5 days and haven't seen or heard from anyone that seems to be a moderator or site administrator  - so we're kind of the blind leading the blind (addict leading the addict!)

I'm determined to be here every day for the next month at least.   I really think it does help - I feel accountable to everyone here.  I want to succeed so you and everyone else will know it's possible, as much as I want it for myself.  That's a huge incentive for me.  Keeping coming back - check in, even if you relapse - you CAN DO THIS!!!

It might be a good idea for someone to invite a professional to volunteer a small fraction of their time to answer a set number of questions on a regular basis. A doctor/psychologist or drug councillor would be perfect for the site and give it the credibility it deserves to become a leading source of online support for those wishing to quit cannabis. Let's face it, it's not like there's any competition out there..... a damning indictment of the contempt society holds for what is a serious problem.

A starting point could be to invite one of the expert contributors on Yahoo Answers(?) ...Just a thought.

Once this site gains a little momentum I am confident that it will snowball.

it didn't fill me with confidence I must be honest,  The other glaringly empty section is the success stories!  Although Im hoping that is because once folk get clean they stop coming here. Ive had a look around the blog sites for those who have beaten it already. They are out there. So it can be done. Is there a section for posting links to other help sites or blogs etc?

Hi Folks,

Please do remember this site is very new.  We have a few ideas we are working on . Lee thankyou for your comment, we have been talking with both professionals in the medical field along side nutritional therapists for alternative methods associated with cannabis detoxing. For the time being it's really intended as a place for like minded people to support one another . It makes for interesting research to have so many detox accounts detailed in one place while also posing as inspiring reading material for those starting to break free from a cannabis driven lifestyle . Your contributions on this matter mean a lot to us .

Illma I have opened a section in the forum for you to post links .  I welcome any information which you feel has helped you , or may help others to quit cannabis .

Illma, thankyou for your contribution ,  I will personally post my success story , and hopefully start the ball rolling there.

Good luck everyone

Hi,

I'm glad I found you.  Half of my life has been wasted on cannabis and with my birthday coming up its time, that dreaded time has come to face life without the thing I have loved for so so long.  There is no going back, there is nothing left there.  This is day two without my beloved weed and its going o.k.  Good luck to everyone!

Hello, and welcome.  As you'd see elsewhere on this site, I've had problems for years.  It's good to start doing something about it.  It's my day two as well, and it's mostly been ok, a bit of irritability, anxiety, but mostly boredom.  I'd normally smoke for a good part of Saturday, and at the moment time is dragging!

Keep coming back, I think there's strength in numbers!

Hope you have a good day.
